Unfortunately, there has not been a clear and accurate history retained of the Big Lake Police Department over the years. What is outlined below, is the best information we could locate at this time, but we are always anxious for more if anyone can provide it to us. It is believed the Big Lake Police Department was formed sometime in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. Also mixed along with the narrative information is photographs of all the squad car designs the Big Lake Police Department has utilized.
