The 2025 street resurfacing project will begin next week (September 22nd). The contractor is able to advance the starting date rather than early October. The pavement being resurfaced includes Highline Drive and the Mitchell Lake Ridge neighborhood (Bluff Road, Mitchell Ridge Drive and Pond View Lane). The work is generally between the existing curbs with some curb and sidewalk repairs. This project is being coordinated with the County 5 resurfacing project in fall of 2025 so as to minimize impacts to the area.
Below is an approximate schedule subject to weather and unforeseen events:
• Week of September 22nd: Mill upper pavement surface
• Week of September 29th: Complete concrete work (curb and sidewalk repairs)
• Week of October 7th: Pave new asphalt surface (street segments will be closed for about 4 to 6 hours). School buses and garbage trucks will be allowed through carefully.
• Week of October 14th: Pavement striping and miscellaneous restoration
Vehicle access will only be impacted during several days of paving. Residents with a driveway on streets being resurfaced will receive an information letter and a notice of paving 1 day in advance. All other residents in the vicinity who use Highline Drive are advised to monitor City website and Facebook for updates. If you have questions or concerns, please email City Engineer Layne Otteson or you can reach him via phone at 763-251-2984.
